Dean had his medi-port put in and all is going well. He went to Devin's music program the same night.

Chemo is still scheduled for Nov 24, pending that his incision has healed enough.

His attitude has really turned positive and he is starting to have more energy and is eating more. He is really looking forward to returning to work and stated that he will be back to CJ's in time to help with the holiday rush. That's Dean, he thinks everything will crumble without him there to get it all in order!

I just want to express again my thanks to everyone for your awesome support. I never dreamed my family would be going through something like this, but it sure is easier with such a strong support system.

Team Jefferson.

Hey Dean, you don't know me yet, but hopefully you will before too long. My name is Susie Connelly and I am your brother Kevin's (I know him as Mike) other half.
I wanted to share a short story with you that may give you some strength and encouragement during your difficult road ahead.
One of my best friends, and roommate at the time, was diagnosed with stem cell cancer. He went through chemo and other forms of therapies, then his doctors told him his only chance of survival was a bone marrow transplant. He had the transplant in Nov. (his bro. was a 100% match) and by Jan. the cancer was back. He then tried experimental drugs, which took a toll on his body, but by the fall, he was in remission. He has been in remission now for 5 years and is doing quite well. His docs told him that he did so well because he kept a positive attitude throughout all that he went through.
I wish you and your family the best and hope to meet you someday soon.

Take care of yourself,
Susie

Noel just showed me how to log into your blog. They are all here for the first time in years. I look forward to having your family here as soon as you ARE over this and able to make it.
I'm a "late nighter" in the Pub, so if you ever want to call, I would love to talk to you.
PS: the web address for the Pub is: www.oconnellspubspringfield.com.

Hey Uncle Dean, it's Kari :) It's been a long time, but I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you, Pam and the kids! I am set up to follow your blog, so I'll be keeping in touch and keeping myself posted. I know it's been a long time, but I love you very much! :)

Just wanted to say that you are in our prayers and that we're all thinking about you. Before long we'll have you back in the plant and you can start picking on Tom again. Beta miss isn't the same without you.
